Cosy Cashew Hemp Latte

Serves 2

For the cashew hemp milk (makes ~4 cups):

  • 2/3 cup cashews, soaked 2+ hours, drained

  • 3 tbsp hulled hemp seeds

  • 3½ cups water

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or 1 whole date, pitted)

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • Pinch of turmeric + tiny pinch of black pepper

For the latte:

  • 2 cups cashew hemp milk

  • 1 shot espresso

  • Extra pinch of cinnamon to serve

Method:

  1. Blend all milk ingredients until smooth and creamy.

  2. Warm gently in a small saucepan with the espresso — don't boil.

  3. Pour, dust with cinnamon, serve warm.

This keeps it dairy-free and anti-inflammatory, cuts the sugar right down, adds blood-sugar-friendly cinnamon and anti-inflammatory turmeric, and lowers the caffeine to one shot so it's gentler on cortisol.
